In 2024 Autodesk has acquired the France-based crowd simulation software developer Golaem, which is now included in the education suite. Here are some simple animations of crowd behavior for humans and bird flockings.
Example 1 is a collision and ragdoll animation. A rotating bar causes the running people to fall.
Example 2 shows 600 people moving towards the university logo and stopping there.
Example 3 is a flocking test animating some starlings. Rendered with Maya and Arnold using an IBL lighting and background.
